Fundsunite operates on the principle that contributions are commitments to support projects, not purchases. However, we recognize exceptional circumstances where refunds may be appropriate.
2. Eligible Refund Scenarios
2.1 Project Failure to Launch:
- Project fails to reach funding goal (All-or-Nothing model)
- Creator cancels project before funding period ends
- Platform determines project violates Terms and Conditions
2.2 Fraudulent Activity:
- Project is proven to be fraudulent or misrepresentative
- Creator fails to deliver promised rewards without valid reason
- Legal action determines project illegality
2.3 Processing Errors:
- Duplicate charges or technical processing errors
- Unauthorized use of payment method
- Bank or payment processor disputes
3. Non-Refundable Scenarios
3.1 Change of Mind:
Backer no longer interested in project
Personal financial circumstances change
Disagreement with project direction or updates
3.2 Project Delays:
- Reasonable delays in reward delivery
- Production or shipping complications
- Force majeure events affecting delivery
3.3 Quality Disputes:
- Subjective dissatisfaction with rewards
- Minor variations from project description
- Creative differences with project outcome
4. Refund Process
4.1 Timeframes:
Automatic Refunds: 5-7 business days for failed projects
Manual Refunds: 14-30 business days for dispute resolution
Chargebacks: Subject to bank processing times
4.2 Request Procedure:
- Submit refund request through platform
- Provide detailed explanation and evidence
- Await investigation and decision
- Receive notification of determination
4.3 Investigation:
Our refund team will:
- Review project status and creator communications
- Assess evidence and supporting documentation
- Consult relevant parties if necessary
- Make determination based on platform policies
5. Partial Refunds
In some cases, partial refunds may be issued:
- Partial project completion
- Partial reward delivery
- Mutual agreement between creator and backer
6. Platform Fees
Refunded amounts exclude:
- Already incurred payment processing fees
- Platform fees for successfully funded projects
- Administrative costs for manual refund processing
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage resolution through our platform before initiating chargebacks. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account suspension.
